While I voted for “one woman man,” “faithful to his marriage” doesn’t eliminate the possibility that the verse is restricting the office of Bishop to men.

First in context, at the end of chapter 2 Paul forbids women to teach or take authority over men. And of course in the original the were no chapters or verses so one naturally would have read the end of chapter 2 and beginning of chapter 3 as a natural flow. I’m not advocating a complementarian position here, just pointing out that it is possible to read it that way with the translation of “faithful to his marriage.”

Second, note what that translation says anyway “Faithful to HIS marriage.” A woman would be faithful to HER marriage.

But, I vote for “one woman man” because I think it gives the best sense. It sounds less awkward than “one woman sort of man” and it also allows for a single(never married) person to be a bishop. Translations “husband of one wife”, “married only once”, and “faithful to his marriage” don’t really include single(never married) persons.
