Thank you for that link to the site…I went and read of Pauls faith journey.Always inspiring to remember in detail what his life was like.
Two books I keep close by are “Extreme Devotion” and “Jesus Freaks”, which tell of the lives of both well-known and obscure men and women of God whose deep unshakable faith is an inspiration…both modern day and ancient saints of God.
As the persecution of Christians grows more wide spread, it would serve us well to forearm ourselves with the three -fold strengthening power of the Word, prayer and the study of Godly examples.
I, too, own the “Jesus Freaks” books. My primary issue with them, though, is that they tend to be recreations of some of Foxe’s work. In other words, they tend to be a little too denominational for my tastes. But, overall, they’re excellent books as long as you keep in mind that they’re written from a very Protestant perspective.
